Hi,
Put some GreenStuff pads on the front brakes today after finding out that my N/S/F pads were 90% worn, but strangely the O/S/F pads were basically 20ish% worn. Seemed odd, but I've not changed them since owning the car so I don't really have an answer for that.
Anyway, my question to anyone that has owned/currently owns GreenStuff pads for a T-Jet, is it alright if they get very hot? And by very hot I mean, doing less than a mile (Around the block a few times) doing gentle breaking (With the odd few hard brakes). I could feel the heat through the alloys, certainly wouldn't want to touch the brakes. In comparison, the rear brakes were not even warm. Do the GreenStuff pads just run hot? I can't find an answer online.
Could this just be me worrying over nothing? I realise that heated brakes (should) perform better, but this was some serious heat over not much work.
Cheers,
Will
