General Turbo question

Hi to all just wondered how do i no if the turbo on my car is the factory 1 coz theres a few things makin me think it mite not be theres a code on it but ive searched it and cant find anything on it and my brother inlaw just bought a 2007 mines 58 tha turbos have different writing and codes on them n mines is quicker than his not loads but noticeable any help wud be great cheers

there is a few things to take into consideration about gerneal speediness.

1. have both cars always been regularly serviced?
2. millage difference? one could have more wear and tear on the engine.
3. has the new one been remaped or have other modifications that could effect the speed?
4. the driver can make a big difference in how the car performs.
