Hi all,

I am hearing noise from the engine bay. It looks like it is coming from the gear box When I shift to a gear, this noise stops. What could be causing the problem please?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Edit: The car is a 2006 GP 1.2L.

What sort of noise and does it go up and down with engine speed?
