My nephew is going to look at (me with him) a 1.4 active sport 2007 reg with 44k on the clock, anything to check? Look out for?
Any ideas would be great! I don't want him to but a lemon
Take the car to a pro and pay him to do the job. He will check the chassis, engine ecu, signs of a crash etc.

If it was 20k I would but 2k isn't too much of a hit, I know where it came from and what's been done to it (help from main dealer access) so I'll look for the normal things,
It's had a steering column/motor thing so that's a good sign

oh ok then
check the usual things, steering full lock idle and low speed (noises etc), gear engagement idle and stopped, suspension bump tests on low speed(noises), brake pedal shaking, interior noise-rattle, electronics (steering, ac, lights etc)
