Im looking to move from the standard 17' wheel to a 18' alloys

What im not sure on is thw size of tyres to put on? obviously 18' but im talking about profile and width?

Anyone know what it is to keep the same ratios?

would it be one of the following, I dont want ANY rub etc.

205/35/18
205/40/18
215/35/18
215/40/18

Can anyone help? I dont want to buy the wrong ones, I just want hem as a direct replacement to the standard alloys and tyres if you know what I mean.

Thanks

18" alloys for a grande punto are massive and wasn't even a factory option. My advice to you would too get some professional advice on this issue, even go to a fiat dealers and ask the service department there.

Last thing you want is too put the wrong tyres on and find out that your speedo says your doing 30mph but in fact your doing 35mph and get nabbed for speeding. Sorry I couldn't help myself, I just don't know

Well the largest tyre size is 205/45 R17 for the 17" wheels as standard, so you'd have to go with the same profile ratio to keep the speedo correct.
So i would suppose that it would be 205/40 R18 without rubbing (Same width as 17's)
But if you wanted to go wider for any reason, it'd have to be 210/35 and 215/30.
Have a look at this if you're still not sure: http://www.wheel-size.com/size/fiat/grande-punto/2006/#trim-12i
