Can anyone help? I have a 2008 Grande Punto with climate control. The heater fan stopped working. On removing the two plugs at the base of the fan unit (underneath the glove compartment) I found that one of the plugs had suffered heat damage. I have tried to source a replacement plug to no avail.

The plug has two cables connected, is female and coloured grey. It is part of a loom which has part number 77365097. The plug has "Denso" stamped on it.

I am an electronics engineer so replacing the plug with a serviceable item shouldn't be a problem....but I cannot source the plug.

As I said before...can anyone help?

Same thing happened to me. I live in small country Slovenia in Europe, at border with Italy. I didnt find this plug anywere. The official fiat dealer wanted to sell me whole system for 150 euros. So i went to car electrician and he solve the problem for 10 euros.

Try a Vauxhall dealer. They do replacement plugs immsmc

See the FAQ section :)

Andy Monty I have rang fiat to get the prices of £92ish plus vat for the resistor and £94ish plus vat for the loom as they only sell the loom. Rang vauxhall and told them I had a corsa d with climate control and they said £39.89 plus vat for the resistor and £26.95 plus vat for a plug repair kit. Would you be able to confirm for me and Ebytronics that this would indeed fit for a grande punto with dual climate control as it's a much more palatable price to pay to fix fiats mistake.

I managed to resolve the burnt-out-plug issue via eBay. I discovered that breakers advertised obscure parts of cars for sale. One dealer in Durham was advertising Punto wheel nuts for £9.50. I phoned him on the off chance, checked that the model he was breaking had climate control, and asked him to send me as much of the loom as possible from the heater fan motor backwards. This he duly did. I now have 3 different types of plugs on about 30cms of loom. It was an easy job to splice in the grey plug in place of the burnt out item. Cost....£20 inc postage packing VAT etc. On the surface this seems expensive but at the time, given the amount of effort that I put in to sourcing something other than a complete new loom, it was a bargain!

Ye I understand where you're coming from but finding a GP with climate control isn't always that easy is it. More luck at the time unless you know somewhere on eBay selling one now for me to buy. For £26.95 though I don't mind paying that for new bits and just making the ends off again. More than enough spare cable there and the less cable there the better so passengers don't kick it.
