I'm looking at buying a GP (Dynamic Sport 1.4 16V - 2008) that only has one key (it's a remote one). I could really do with having a spare that'll open the doors and start the engine.. just in case. From reading around these forums, these seem to be the options:

- Remote key from Fiat (~£200?)
- Basic key from Fiat (~£150??)
- Basic key from locksmith (£50-£80)
- Buy second hand remote key, get Fiat to code it (£???)

That sound about right? Any DIY options?

Local dealer wants £250 to supply and program a new remote key! Can't be affording that right now..

I've seen some second hand remotes on eBay. Is it possible to program them yourself with MultiECUScan and then get an auto-locksmith to supply and code a new, blank transponder (and cut a blade)?
