I'm looking at buying a set of alloy wheels for my 1.2 Dynamic, as it did not come with any when I bought it
I've found a set on ebay for a good price, but they come off a Fiat Bravo and are 17"
Will they fit without rubbing?
My car is not lowered and no spacers

Here is the description from the auction

"Fiat Abarth custom alloy wheels and tyres. Three wheels in good condition with one new tyre and two tyres with 2-3mm of tread-one Michelin performance tyre and Kumho tyre.

One wheel has been damaged by a pot hole but can be refurbished for around £30-50. Wheels also come with blue alloygatorz which cost 70 alone. Also come with abarth centre caps, abarth wheel caps and all nuts/bolts except locking nuts.

Wheels will fit most four stud vehicles with offset of 98-100, these wheels were removed from a fiat bravo 07. Please email for more information. Happy bidding!"

Here is a pic of one of the wheel and tyre with the sizes

The damage is shown in this pic. Would that be repairable or not?

And the blue strip is supposed to stop you scuffing them on kerbs etc

save your money...!!,
the GP is on Vauxhall / Opel bolt pattern of 100mm PCD

(FIAT are 98MM PCD)

so modern Astra / Corsa is the correct type,
their steel spares are the correct wheels size too,

worth checking the offset figure for ANY rims too,

Can you explain about alloy wheels please as I have no clue

Such as what is 100mm OCD or 98
And what is the offset etc

What do I need to look for in Alloy wheels so that they will fit

Hi, no problem,

YOUR wheels are held on with 4 x bolts,
if you watch the wheel " at speed" the 4 bolt holes crate a "circle".. that circle is the PCD,
Pitch Circle Diameter ( it's actually the distance between centres of the two opposite bolts..!!)
measure yours on the car to see what I mean, opposite bolts / bolt holes.

the difference between the FIAT standard of 98mm ,
and Opel Standard of 100mm,
is ONLY 2mm ,
but it won't work without "wobble-bolts),
a compromise and ultimately NOT as good as an exact match..,

I hope that helps,

Charlie

Yes, that helps so much!
I understand what to look for now when buying wheels

So if buying Fiat wheels, it must be 98mm
And if any other make not designed for Fiat 100mm with wobble bolts

Thank you

your ( and My) Grande's are a GM / FIAT joint venture,
so GP wheels are 100mm PCD,

GM/ Opel wheels will go straight on,

("normal" FIAT wheels are 98mm and won't go striaght on),

Gumtree is a good source of "Astra / Corsa" wheels,

So basically GP's are a pain in the ass for wheels -.-

Thanks I'll have a look around then. Was hoping to get a pair of Fiat ones as my insurance won't change then

You may also need to fit a spacer inside the wheel to match the hub diameter - would be a good idea to measure . Otherwise the wheels are resting only on the bolts and not the hub as well. Result is shimmying steering wheel above 90 km/h or so. Not recommended!

you mean a "centering ring";)

I thought you were talking "wheel spacers"

Yup. colloquially used ( non native speakers you see) as it fill the space between the hub and the inner diameter of the hole thing in the centre of the wheel.

Hey, could any of you tell me if these wheels would fit, or if they would be too wide or something.

17" alloys
225/45/17
Offset 43
4x100
Rim Width 7.5J

Thanks
