Decided to trial the Fly Eye kit bought from eBay, such a simple & cheaper way to tint the headlights.

I did the same on mine mate, looks ace doesn't it! and really cheap and easy to do, I do think it does look better on yours because of it being white, sadly mines black

Ordered a kit last nite was gonna change head lights but will try this first

Give him a break its film on a bloody lens its hardly going to effect it and they wouldnt have a clue it was on for a start.

Just got a new seat cover you think insurance police on forums will allow it

Never been in the company of an insurance loss adjuster or a vehicle examiner have you ;)

Lad at work wound up having to pay another £500 to get paid out £1000 on a write off due to a none declared dump valve on his policy (and he was not at fault for the accident ) it was a pay up within 48 hours or we will cancel your policy type affair

People think we are been " clever" or "smart" with our comments about insurance but the lad above had to get a loan out to pay that £500

It was that or loose his pay out..... And because the policy would be canceled he would have been classed as uninsured 6 point and a fine as well..since the police were involved ..... In a way he was lucky his insurer was lenient with him and allowed him to make a retrospective declaration...

Imagine hurting /killing someone your policy now canceled how you plan on paying the victim or their family compensation? Or the damage to another car / house and any medical costs?

Saw one traffic cop program where plod rung the insurance company "has Mr smith declared the after market alloys that are rubbing on his archs? " "no." " is he still insured?" "No".

He was issued with a summons to court and had his car confiscated......

Everyone hates paying insurance but what's the point in paying it if your going to fail to declare your mods and leave them free to say you've broken the contract..... Refuse to pay out and not refund you....

Put the boot on the other foot bad weather heavy rain at night car in front has tinted lights letting out 50% of the original light it brakes and you don't see them till you ram him up the backside....

It's OK though your insurance will pay for all the damage and his whiplash and you'll loose your no claims and have a premium hike for the next 5 years.....

Really surely that cant change a thing

As they say, assumptions are the mother of all **** ups.

The question is, 'do you feel lucky punk? Well do ya?'

In answer to your question, yes they do change a thing, quite a lot actually. For the OPs sake he's best picking up the phone and checking, if with a decent insurer he'll possibly find its ok and there is no charge (all my mods are declaired with no charge due to their nature), however if OP has gone with the cheapest insurer out there then there is a fair chance that there will be a premium loading, or potentially that their underwriting criteria is no modifications what so ever - and that mean one policy not worth the papers it's written on and void as soon as they find out.

Give him a break its film on a bloody lens its hardly going to effect it and they wouldnt have a clue it was on for a start.

It's not your place to make that assumption though.

Do you think insurance loss adjusters or accessors are blind

I kind of agree with what your saying but for cosmetic things like that, that can be peeled off in seconds i dont any other mod yes but they cant possibly affect cover for fly eyes

Just bugs me every1 on a forum have you declared it have you declared it, mind your own hehe

No hate :p
