Hi i have a 2006 Punto Grande multi jet 6 speed semi auto i am after finding where to top up the auto transmission fliud i-e selespeed oil, i know where to check the gearbox oil level but can't find one for the auto side of things, my car has had a judder on sharpness on the gear changes since we bought it, i have taken it back to the garage where we had it from many times and they replaced a dog leg mount don't know why it was no different, and they told me it is the same as any Punto diesel auto matic as this is the 1st semi auto i have owned i must confess i have nothing to judge it by however every automatic i have ever driven or owned have drove very smooth trouble free, so i am clutching at straws and wondering if the car could be low on transmission fluid thanks:bang:

Should be either in a reserviour on the top of the gearbox, or on the front behind a splash guard.

It shouldn't be using any unless it leaks so I suspect this will not be your issue. The fluid you use if you do top it up should be genuine CS Speed fluid (y)

A worn clutch or air in the system could be the cause of this. Air can be purged out using Multi ECU Scan software (y)

hi on top of my gear box there is a round plastic top with a green dot and white dots would this be it and thanks i have bought a litre of the CS speed fluid i was told i could purge it by having the ignition on and opening and closing drivers door ten times? when the engine is warm the car drives smoother but on first start it has a sharpness and jurks alot when trying to reverse out of the drive, i asked the garage where had it from if he thought it was a clutch problem but he just keeps on all punto semi autos drive like this

:slayer:

Post a pic of it and I'll tell you, I've a Panda and Bravo Selespeed, so am going by the locations on those.

You cannot purge the system by opening and closing the door 10 times, whoever told you this is either making it up as they go along or have been miss informed them self.

Our Panda's system shows similar symptoms if its been sitting for a while, and is normal, but the Bravo is smooth most of the time, although it doesn't normally sit for more than 12 hours at a time.

Hi,

I've been having lots of problems with the semi-auto gearbox on my Fiat GP 2009 and after reading threads I've considered checking and topping up the selespeed oil. However I can't find any advice as to where this is and how to top it up. Hopefully that will help the auto gearbox not freeze up in random gears whilst driving.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hello.

If like the Panda it'll be on the front of the gearbox behind a shield that looks like a baking tray. This shield needs to be removed, but must be put back on after to prevent water ingress from road spray (y)

Does it have to be removed from under the car?

Hi, been awhile but I've finally narrowed theproblem down to:
P1770 Accelerator pedal signal - intermittent fault
P1819 engine torque (from CAN) - intermittent fault
P0856 VDC messages (from CAN) - intermittent fault

I noticed that if I press the accelerator abruptly I can trigger the fault. I hooked up the MES with the key in 'on' position (so engine not started). MES hooked up, I pressed the accelerator a couple of times quickly and triggered the fault.

I tested the throttle% signal in MES and it doesn't show any change in figures..BUT.. The engine still revs up normally.

How to proceed from here? Please help
