Hi

New on here. Just looking for some help with the window on my gfs punto. Basically the passenger electric window has stopped working. When pressing the switch up on the passanger side it has a little movement with a clicking noise but wont go down. When pressing the switch on the drivers side nothing happens at all, no noise no movement at all. Can anybody help please? Ps the drivers window is fine

Yh iv had it off. Looks ok. Could do with taking the whole mechanism out and having a proper look. I was just wondering why 1 switch makes it move slightly and the other doesnt do anything. Would a faulty switch on driver side cause it to not work?

It could be the regulator, pain in the a** trying to remove it without braking the glass. My wife's has the same problem, not got round to changing it yet. Will let you know if the regulator was at fault.

Hi, it appears to be a problem in the driver's switch...
The motor need 12 volts between his terminals to work properly.
However, the passenger's switch depends of the driver's switch.

I uploaded some images showing you how it works and how you can probably fix it but first try to make an easy test and connect the motor's terminal directly to the battery (12v) and see if he is working good.

Sorry about the English but i'm portuguese.

PS: it would be easier if you could tell me exactly your model and engine type, circuits can be diferent.

The above pictures are for a Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 (65CV) from 2006 with only two electric windows and 2 pin motors.

The rubber tubing that comes from the body of the car into the door carries loads of wires.

Remove this and check for broken wires, drivers side door.

I had five that were broke in half on mine because of its stupid design. I had all the symptoms your describing.

Need soldering and heat shrinking back together or a replacement loom which is expensive
