Hello,
Quick question, there are 2 tubes connected to the standard airbox, one being an oil breather I'm assuming, but what is the other small one? What does it do? I've had it blocked off before and there has been no difference.

Anyone shed some light?

the small breather hose from the air box attaches to the intake manifold via a very small tune. It is the air bleed for the idle control valve. Always a good idea to take it off and blow through it to check it isn't blocked... and stick your thumb on the other side and then blow to check for any leaks.

Thanks a lot for the reply! I've wondered for so long what that hoes does! :)

No problem mate! Yeah me too for a while. After replacing the garden hose that was put in my a pervious owner as an oil breather I replaced that with the new modified part lol while doing that I replaced the air bleed hose as if one goes the other one is about to in my past experience.

Do you know why it's okay to block it off? I've blocked mine off before and noticed no difference, and I've currently got a small breather filter on it and still notice no difference (Since I've got an induction kit)

What purpose does this pipe actually serve! :p

Hi guys, recently replaced the main breather pipe, and noticed the small, longer one could do with replacing....obviously, from replacing the large pipe, I know where/how the small pipe fixes to the airbox....but....does the pipe just pull off at the other end? Is it easy to access?

Yes it's attached to the manifold. Mine (1.2) just pulled off.

Follow it down from the airbox and you should be able to see where it ends - likely to need a torch to see
