Hello I recently bought a Grande with the starjet engine. When I accelerate between 1500 and 2000 I get a strange noise like a very light metallic rattle. Any ideas what this could be I was thinking the camshaft variator maybe?

Check the air intake isn't rattling on the front left. If it is tie wrap it.

The heat shield on the manifold is held down with about 6 x 10mm nuts.
When i say 10mm, i assume they might be, as ours had all but disintegrated.
Two of them to the point that they were no longer serving any purpose.
I assume the sound you are hearing will be the same one we heard, which was the heat shield resonating.
Hard to describe, but sounded like a shhhhhhh, or even zhhhhhhh if that makes sense

yes shhhhh makes sense to me.
Removed shield (it's 7 x 10mm nuts) Noise decreased a lot. It's still there, but I think it's the exhaust mount under oil pan?! Can't tell for sure.

I got a power flex bush to go inside the original mount and stiffen it up
