What is the best/correct engine oil for my fiat grande punto 1.4 t-jet ?

Yeah 5w40 c3 spec as it states, all to do with emissions etc

Read a lot about Selenia on forums

Personally I go for Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 in my T-Jet. £32 Opie Oils

I also use this in my car, noticeably smoother than the previous oil in when car was purchased.

Exactly what it says, could cause excessive wear, ie damage.

We'll I have just brought some Morris 5-30 fully synthetic oil ACEA C3 -10 is that any good ??

you will suffer from high evaporation and it will not with stand it's condition in high load (high boost with high RPM)

Should have got the Shell Helix

also 5w40 not 5w30

5w 30 won't do anything though will it ? Like damage anything ?

I wouldn't even use the wrong oil in my 1.2, even though that probably wouldn't even hurt it

5w-30 would start up the same but would be a bit thinner at operating temperature than the proper 5w-40.

Since you have a tjet which is not only a turbo for a start but a decently tuned engine id get some good quality oil, at the actual spec that is supposed to be used in the car
The car is designed for 5w-40 so use it!
