Hi chaps!

Got myself a problem with a 06 Plate 1.3 Multijet (90bhp) Grande punto.

One point the rear wiper would not work at all. After a few days when the weather got cold etc i used the Rear Demister/Rear window Heater and the wiper also came on. For a few weeks the only way to use the wiper was with the demister button on centre console.

Now both have failed, the light on centre console still switches on but nothing happens. I've looked over other threats and somebody had the same issue but endded up changing the wires, window, motors, fuse, relays & switch (£400+ he paid!! :bang: )

For this person it endded up being a Relay fault. I've replaced the Main Relay & checked fuses, all there is good. Any ideas?

Many Thanks
Mart

When the weather get's a little nicer, I'll using a multimeter and check see if any voltage is going down the wiring. This could eliminate if there's a cable break.

I'd inspect the wiring in the little rubber tube between the body and boot lid.

I've also suspected, however I've buzzed the demister, all ok.
I've also unplugged the actual wiper cable and checked the voltage, its coming out around 80mv on power off. When i switch on ignition and flick the demister/rear wiper switch it's getting around 400/500mv.

Very straight.... I'm going towards the front of the car
