It'll depend just how low it got before being topped up. The likely answer is yes, as it doesn't hold much, and doesn't normally need topping up.

hi there. thank you for your reply it is a small bit below the min line. but my panda is not going into any gear so hope this the problem

If its low enough to prevent gear selection then it will ideally need bleeding. You won't have to have this done, but until you do it'll make moving off / gear changes potentially jerky etc.

hi there again. i changed the fluid cause it was very black.and topped it up.its still not going into gear. it says gear not available then transmission failure came up. when trying to go into gear a yellow triangle comes up with a ringing noise if this means anything.how do i bleed the system correctly. oh when i used to try select a gear i used to hear a sound like it was low on fluid and now i can't hear anything. be really grateful if you help with advice.kind regards tom

Does the pump prime when the drivers door is opened?

Should do it when you unlock the car and open the drivers door.

hi there i was onto a while ago with a problem with my panda. i since changed the oil and its still moving but if i move from neutral to reverse a few times i can hear it wanting to select it makes a loud clicking noise as it about to change but it doesn't and the noise stays until i turn the car off. would this be a control module fault

Hi everyone. I am writing to you from Poland. Although we like Fiats and we drive a lot of 500 models, the ones with the DUALOGIC gearbox are in the minority and there is little information about the exchange of oil in them.

I have a question for you regarding the independent oil change in the DUALOGIC module. It's about TUTELA CS SPEED oil.

Is there still high pressure when the car is turned off and the aku is disconnected in the plastic reservoir? Or not? And can I worry about unscrewing the plastic cap at the top and suck out all the liquid first and then pour a new one?

Do I unfortunately need to first reduce the pressure in the system using a diagnostic computer.

Djen dobreh,

it's better to use the correct diagnostic tool to empty the accumulator before pumping-out the fluid since it will still be pressurized even disconnected (built-in non-return valve).

BRs, Bernie
