I thought I hated potholes, until yesterday, now I know I hate them lol

Went over one while turning right into a side street, heard an almighty noise...

Pulled over to find my front left wheel arch liner had been ripped out and snapped in half.

And what makes it worse is my GP hasn't even been lowered, it's still a 4x4

Don't think I've been that angry in a while

wow must have been some pot hole lol I pooped my self the other day when I heared a loud noise going up a kirb thought i'd done the same turns out i'm lower than I thought and scrapped the top of the kirb :slayer:

I think Gr3g just brought a new wheel liner dont know where he had it from though

Jordan.

If it has damaged your car like that then you need to take pictures of the pothole with the depth and size measurements and claim the money off the council.
You will have a fight on your hands but i know of someone who had their wheels refurbished because if potholes. Good luck.

This is becoming a major problem in britain now, The road network needs some major investment!

I picked up a arch liner from the scrappys mate for £15. Not a hard job to replace, just jack the car up, remove the wheel and remove a few screws. But its worth getting the car checked out for any other damage that may of been do the wheel and suspension etc.

I'm off to the scrappy for a replacement liner, just gotta hope they have a GP floating about.

What's really annoying is I'm intending to lower my GP but now I'm a bit hesitant.

Roads are awful at the moment,

Last week we went through 3 tyres, one alloy and a windscreen on works cars due to potholes.

That temporary tarmac in a bag they are using to fill them in is crap as well, sides of my car are covered in tar!!

we hate pot hole to as one did this to our poor wheel (n)

we had an alloy egg due to a pothole, then it fractured. got it welded and it lasted about a month before it went again. these were daft 17s with painted on tyres on the 306. put the GTi6 wheels back on it.

touch wood the bravos alloys have fared well.

306 also had to have a new windscreen which autoglass could only put down to a large shock as there was no chip in the galss

i dont know about your area's

But the local news paper around me said my local area had been given 2 or 3million to repair the local roads

I must admit i've seen lots and lots of yellow chalk marks around holes - meaning they are repairing them shortly! a major road that has been seriously under attack from winter has now been closed and under major resurfacing! thank god! its the main road in the area and it was very nasty to drive down!

Start moaning to the local council about the poor road conditions and see if they'll pull the funds out there shiny unopened wallets and sort it out :)
