hi everyone. Have just noticed a split pipe on wife's fiat grande punto. It's a 2006 model 1.2 petrol. The pipe seems to go into the main engine compartment and there is oil residue - can I fix myself / Any idea of the part ref / advice pls

Could I even temp repair it with tape and a clamp?

Hello there, this is a breather pipe that fits from underneath the air box and goes too the rocker cover . It is quite a easy job to replace . Takes about 20 mins . You have to remove the air box and undo the two clips that hold the pipe on . There is a modified pipe to replace it as this is a fairly common problem . Also check the smaller breather pipe that goes too the back of the air box as this splits too ..........
