Had my Ash Induction kit on for about 3 days now, and I've noticed when I have my blowers on that the cabin is stinking of fuel.

Had a quick look under the hood And stuck my nose next to the mini oil breather filter that came with the kit, and its defiantly that ! Very strong nearly knocked me out

Anyways, anyone have any ideas what I could do? It's giving me a headache when driving now :bang:

Does it need the mini breather, or is this just an added accessory.

well the little pipe vents off excess fuel vapour (i think) from the inlet manifold

it was plumbed into the induction for a reason eg it allowed the fuel vapour into the throttle body and burnt as part of normal combustion

Well i got the mini breather filter with the induction kit, and fitted it to breather hose etc.., blocked off the smaller hose from inlet manifold as told. But yeah do you think it will be better if i get rid of the mini oil breather filter, and drill a hole in the main induction piping and stick the breather hose in there ?

Yes get both hoses back into the induction system...

IIRC the mini breather will be an MOT failure if the tester is been pedantic

yes you must have seen the countless threads on here of either one of those hoses splitting leading to fume or petrol smells inside the car?



what i would do is work out what sizes you need (inner hose diameter of both the crank case and inlet manifold breather)

then mark where you want to fit them on the metal bit between the silicone pipes... and centre punch them



Next find a industrial plumber / gas / pipe fitter


ideally source the fittings like these to match the hoses you measured

and get them to drill and tap the tube (assuming its thick enough)


wrap the threads with PTFE tape to form a good seal

then wind them in and shove the hoses on and secure with a jublie clip

If its too thin a pipe fitter should be able to braze or solder silver the fittings on best do it towards the back where any heat scorching wont be seen..
