Just wondered if anyone could give me a ballpark figure as to the price i should expect to pay.

What happened is; The car would'nt start on Boxing day but lights and fan was working so a flat battery was ruled out.
Towed it down to the local garage and they plugged it in and it came up with all sorts of warning messages etc that they decided it was the ECU, they have sent it away to get repaired.
Has anyone ever had a similar problem and can you give me an idea of what you paid for both ECU repair and ECU replacement?
From what i understand it can be anything from 60 - 160 pounds to get it repaired but i have no idea as to the costs of programming and fitment labour cost.
Any help and feedback would be appreciated!
Cheers

Hi There have you resolved your problem? I am having exactly the same problem with my Punto. Can anyone help with a ballpark on replacement cost? Or any other advice - any information would be greatly appreciated.
