Hi,

The connection from the thermostat to coolant expansion tank broke!!!. Is it possible to just buy the attachment? please see pic it is the black rubber stuff.

If I change a new thermostat, do I need to have this attachment? or can I connect directly using the existing hose?

I had something similar before, turned out that part of the thermostat housing is plastic.

When I'd ordered the new thermostat the broken part was metal along with the rest of the housing...,

May be the same here, ... What engine is it...?..

it is a 1.4 8V, can your exisiting hose fit onto the new metal connection? or is a new hose required? Why did Fiat ever make the connection plastic in the first place.

Mine was a 1.4 8v also, and yeah I used the existing hose.

Yeah plastic really didn't make sense to me either.

I bought some jubilee clips to fasten it all back together though.
