:D been driving duologic for five years now....
mainly problematic issues are on duologic and through out the years i have all sort of problem as listed/ mentioned by GP owners here you name it.
now my GP in the garage again for about a month already, my mechanic is still scratching the head to figure out what wrong with the duologic.

the problem started when my missus about to head home from her office, she found out she cannot engage the gear. she rang me for SOS and it took me 2 hrs from my office to her's as heavy rain, weekend and traffic jam.

the first thing i do when i reach the parking lot at my missus office is to start engine and engage the reverse..walla..it works. almost lost my temper ( for simple thing) as to get me there as it took me 2 hrs to reach there. i told her to get in quickly and drive home. but when she get into the car and tried to reverse, the gear shifted to N .

the when i tried, i noticed the gear indeed shifted to N every time it engage to 1st or reverse. then i found out if i hold the gear stick in either in reverse or 1st gear position, i can prevent the gear from getting back to N.

as it is already 7pm dark and it not safe to keep GP at the parking lot ( its public parking lot) i decided to drive the car back home.

to get it run, i hold the gear in 1st position and accelerate, the car moves, and for 2nd/3rd/4th gear, it automatically engage by it self. the only problem is when ever i slow down at traffic light, the gear will shift to N automatically. i had to push the gear lever in 1st gear position to prevent it from getting o neutral. manage to get the car home, drove for about 30km.

the next day i had to get tow truck to send it to workshop. Fiat dealership in Malaysia have been terminated by Torino cause of low sale volume. luckily for us in Malaysia there's handful of private garage that specialist to Italian Car. so there my GP goes to.

so far what they have detected drained gear oil, and the have fill her up. change the actuator, tried to get ECU ( not yet as difficult to get part)
at the moment the car can only engage 1st and reverse. cannot engage 2nd/3rd/4th gear. (of couse the beeping and error appear. the examiner saying no signal detected when engaging 2nd/3rd/4th)

i have been browsing GP forum for a day or two now, try to see if anyone having the same problem. i have narrow down to few possible failure that need to looked at 1. Gear Selector 2. Gear Position Sensor 3. fatigue clutch shaft 4. Gearbox control unit. 5. Faulty break switch?<-- not sure about this one.

if anyone have any idea, please...would be very helpfull. :worship:
now i am off to other forum (bravo/panda..etc if they have similar problem with duologic)

hey bro I'm Malaysian too, I think Torino still doing service for Fiat.

anyway, ia the GP that bad?
