Hello everyone,

I was just looking through an old thread on here and there was reference to what I think was a Dualogic repair manual part number 60346822.

I would be keen to get one if anyone knows where I can order one, my dualogic has a hydraulic leak and it looks like I need to at minimum remove the actuator from the transmission to fix it.

Many Thanks in advance!:)

Part number 60346822 is a Grande Punto Dualogic owners handbook supplement. Three versions of it are available to download from the forum downloads section here: https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=21

Being a handbook supplement, it only shows you how to use it, not how to repair it. You would need the eLEARN workshop manual for repair procedures.

Thanks very much for your reply Davren,
A real pity that is not a repair manual though.

With regard to elearn, I have what I believe is the latest elearn but there is absolutely nothing in it regarding the Dualogic.

I have queried this with Ateco (Fiat NZ main importer, who are beyond useless by the way) but their response is that there is no such manual or any service information available on the dualogic, even for dealers!!

If anyone has or has seen a copy of elearn that covers dualogic transmissions I would be super interested to know.

As it stands I seem to be on my own removing and disassembling the transmission in the hope of fixing the leak. Because it doesn't involve taking lots of money off me for no work Ateco are no help and can't even seem to supply their dealers with any dualogic repair parts for me.

So any help/thoughts GREATFULLY received as I have trolled the internet for hours and come up with nothing much at all.

hi.. any lucky with the transmission oil leak?
in my 2008 gp , i had tanmission oil leakage for a long time, the dealer here gave different reasons and excuses to me, that are unreasonable, starting from bad oil "that i replaced", to suggesting i replace clutch and if that doesnt work replace whole pump.
the leakage is right above the plastic oil level accumlator storage .... its seems to be leaking from a sensor, an engineer at the dealers told me its a pressure relief part, that leaks only when something is wrong.
the leakage usually happens when i start the engine in the morning before the pump finishes the buzzing priming sound.
any ideas?

In the end I got nowhere so just decided to take a punt and seal it up really well with a metal epoxy product (a good quality one) and an aluminum patch.

Surprisingly it worked!

Has done quite some milage since and no leaks or problems with operation.

One thing I did find which was going to by my next port of call was an online Fiat reference system which was a "pay per use" type setup. Using the free preview it appeared to have some dualogic related articles.

If you need to use it let me know and I will see if I can track down the website again, I did bookmark it but my laptop died shortly after.

It does sound like your leak may be from a different place to mine. If you look at this other thread I started you can see in the pictures where my leak was coming from. I would be interested to hear if it is the same place but it doesn't sound like it from your description.

Best of luck with it!

thank you for your reply, i might consider the epoxy idea, although the leakage in my car id dripping from the bottom of what seems to be a sensor, so its not so easy to seal.
i am attaching a picture of the leaking spot

Yes, you have quite a different scenario.

Silly question but that sensor, does it not appear to be removable?

If you can remove the sensor or the greater part its attached to, it may well be possible to get a replacement, even if that replacement is secondhand.

You may need to release the pressure (or wait overnight) before removing it and there is a possibility you may need to bleed the system afterwards but that is not end of the world.

You can bleed/purge the system using multiecuscan which you may have already.

Its also possible if you have a google around that the site which has Fiat paid support that I was telling you about may have diagrams and possibly even a how to fix article.

Best of luck with it.

thank you, i will probably try and remove that part, sensor or not.
i did suggest that at the dealer, but they claimed its not a sensor but an end of a pump shaft... i will remove it and see.
i was not aware that i need to release pressure first and purge later, so thank you for the tip : )

Happy to help,

Just bare in mind, while I think its always a good idea to release the pressure (or wait for it to go down) when working on a selespeed, you may not necessarily have to do the bleed/purge once its back together. I found I didn't actually have to do it when disassembling part of mine, but this will likely depend on what you take apart.

So if you don't have multiecuscan you may want to try it on assembly in case it does not need it.

I hope it goes really well for you.

Should always pressure down the system using MES or FES before doing anything on the system for safety's sake!

After its ideal to purge the system to remove any air to enable smooth gearbox operation, but it not essential.

That's the sensor which tells the car what gear the gearbox is physically in (y)
do you know the part number or exact name of the sensor ?
the parts sales guy at the dealer didnt seem to know what i am talking about before when i explained to him, nor did he have an illustrated parts manual that had this sensor.

No I son't unfortunately, check they're using the correct exploded diagram for your gearbox, there are several variants of the Selespeed gearbox setup.

hey, if its not too much trouble, could you send me a link of a site with an exploded diagram of dualogic gear box?

just an update everyone
i changed the clutch , and so far that seemed to have stopped the leakage, the dealer said, a worn clutch would cause oil overpressure and hence the leakage from that spot, maybe they were correct, been 10 month so far. hope it stays like that ;)

ahh and Big Remark , what "Most Easterly Pandas" said about that sensor is correct, it does convey the actual physical gearing position, you mess or move that sensor your car wont start again unless dealer readjusts it again.... i know, been there.

SNOUR did you find out what that part is called or part No as i have same problem any info you found would be helpful Thanks

Hi, I am experiencing selespeed oil leak at this same spot. My situation is such that there is no prior warning, oil will spill out onto the road suddenly and in large amount, while I stopped at traffic light. It has happened twice. I changed the sensor PF 2/00 and accumulator. Oil is still leaking.
Can someone please help me? I got the Fiatescan and it didn't show any error. I don't know when it will fail me again.
