It's due at 4 years heavy use or 5 years normal. Heavy use can be towing, short journeys or hard driving which to be fair the 1.2 gets a hard life been low on power needs "driving" mileage is Irelevant as rubber degrades with age

Im getting mine done next friday, car is the same as yours but 56' plate and done 48,000 miles and it hasn't been changed before, so getting belt and all tensioners done 
Might as well get the water pump done at the same time as the cam belt has to come off anyway. This also means having your antifreeze/ coolant drained and renewed with winter just round the corner its not a bad thing
AFAIK it is being done, along with brake overhaul, oil change, fluid check & change & all filters, but will check, thanks for pointing it out
Ive been told 70 plus vat for labour, then around another 70 for parts

Judging by that I am getting the pump done too
Lol it's so cheap and the engine is tiny so labour is minimal as well.

i just had my cambelt changed for 230 but they did not change the water pump as it look in fine condition after reading horror stories on here i am worried that it may yet fail. so was thinking of getting the pump changed when i get a service
Its a time consuming job to do Great idea of fiats to run the belt round the engine mount :bang:

Really? It cost me 260 for both belts and the water pump to be changed.
andy that kit says for 1.416-tjet, not 1.2? they dont list as kit for 1.2 for some reason

It's worth changing the cam belt every 4 to 5 years reguardless of mileage. I have had two mates who's cam belt snapped, the result is knacked engine. On a 07 plate, its about the right time to change now plus changing the water pump at the same will also safe you money in the long run.

My grande punto has done 87500 miles and it's never had a cam belt change lol but it's been done on Friday
