Hey folks,

I own a 09 Reg GP Sporting 1.4 16v.

While on a trip to the shops today I noticed that my car wouldnt engage 5th gear.....
I had been driving the car earlier on in the afternoon and all was good, though on the trip home it started acting up.... The car goes into all the other gears fine, there are no whining or grinding noises coming from the box. The car has only 45000kms and is still under warranty.

I brought the car to the dealer today though they wont be able to look at it till friday, I asked the service manager what he thought it was and his response was "It could be anything".

Has anyone else on the site encoutered the same sort of problem and if so what was it,

sounds like what happened to mine over weekend slightly different boxes as mine is 1.9 mjet sporting but bearing went on 6th gear took and took rest of internals with it get it sorted on warranty asap mines a 56 plate and costing me 1500 quid to repair
