I need some help i fitted the yellow spring yesterday it boosts to 14 psi fine but if I am up to speed then take my foot off the power then accelerate to zero psi it pulses, it sounds like the turbo is spooling up and dumping straight away every half second. It's strange but as any one else had this?

And which way to turn the boost up and down using the turn buckle?

Sounds exactly like what i tried to warn you about. The fluctuations could be that the boost is exceeding the pre-set level for that part of the map so the ecu is constantly trying to pull back the boost. It doesnt have to be on full boost to go over the boost level on the map iirc

I know mate but I was told it would be fine by who mapped my car, I think you are right though. I will have to stick the other spring back in then get it mapped for that spring. It drives fine just except for on 0psi.

Does having less preload create higher boost btw?

Me and GymJunkie spent ages talking about it, he figured out which way turned up the boost, I forgot :eek:

Put the green spring back in now its running fine just need to turn the boost up a little on that spring.

you cant really turn the boost up any other way than replacing the spring, by making the arm shorter it just adds more preload on the spring, so it will open less under boost but isnt really the best way - i would rather take it to the rollers and then get the map tuned for the stiffer spring

New to this but I have the same problem same car same actuator i think wastgate needs to be open a little bit a think the turbo spins to fast with it full shut I'm going to try it this week I'm sure my old actuator the wastgate was open a little bit?

Did you find the problem?
