hi guys my car is due a service right now and i need to keep it serviced by a vat registered garage to keep my used car warranty legit!

FIAT want £159 for a full service but i was going to buy the parts myself and get my local garage to fit them with a receipt of the service being done by them and a service book stamp.

Anyway what service items should i get eg. oil 5w 40? after market oil filter or original fiat item? bosch super 4 plugs or just normal plugs?

Whats everyone else using?

It's best to buy the ones FIAT recommends:
Oil Selenia K Pure Energy
Fiat oil filter
NGK ZKR7A-10 spark plugs (branded by fiat or not-its the same stuff)
You can always get those from shop4parts or similar for example and they aren't expensive at all

for warranty purposes you need to fit genuine fiat items ..

its the warranty given by carcraft motorstores. As long as its serviced by a vat registered garage with proof theres no probs

what service is due?

i received no service history with the car but it is just about to clock 50k and the service counter says service due in 15miles. The service book just has one stamp but the oil is not majorly dirty and the air filter isnt that bad so services have been done.

how old is the car?

registered 31/12/2007 so 3 and a half years old (57 plate)

service not due until 4 year/72000 miles...seems someone didn't reset (missed a service) the service light in the past.

so are service intervals every 12 months/18k miles?
Should i just reset the counter and have it done in a few months for peace of mind?
Oil does not look really dirty like i said.

wouldn't harm to just do an oil change,.
