Technical Epic dash rattle :(

Mine has one that comes from the rooflining.

I dont know what it could be as there is nothing between the rooflining and the roof. If i give it a wack, it goes away lol.

Thought I might as well update in case this comes up in a search for anyone else. Turns out that the first reply was spot on!

Basically after going from being an intermittent rattle to a blooming annoying buzz for 25% of the time the car was moving I had to do something about it. I thought I'd have a peek behind the dash trim and before doing so tapped along the whole length of it. Weirdly when I tapped on the left hand side I got a similar sound (bear in mind that the sound came from the right hand side)

After popping the trim off (which hadn't lifted at all) I found that one of the clips had snapped off. After driving it without the trim... NO MORE RATTLES!! :D

I'd have put money on there being no way that a little bit of plastic could make that noise but... well, it did!

Currently seeing if I can get my £42 back seeing as the diagnosis did nowt to getting it fixed.

Glad you sorted it, its often the small things that make the most noise.

I will be fitting another one shortly!

Thanks, I'm really pleased that we got to the bottom of it because other than the fact that it made loads more noise than the 14 year old Polo it replaced she loves it.

We were quite lucky to find a 1.4 16v Eleganza with Skydome that the garage didn't really know the value of so we got it for the same price as a 1.4 Dynamic! Nothing else within a few thousand pounds really took her fancy so this one should be a keeper.
