Whilst driving down the motorway tonight I changed down from 6th to 4th and heard/felt a little jolt. When approaching a roundabout I changed down to 2nd and in a panic thought the box had locked. Turned out that I could get 1st and 2nd but only with some force (there was a lot of resistance pushing left like something was wedged between the lever and the box side). Anyway got back home and whilst sitting on the drive tried reverse, there was a litle crunch and then all the resistance went and all seems fine albeit a knock from the lever when pushing left. Anybody any ideas? Hope its not major as I have just had to have brake pads, top suspension mount, bottom arm, droplinks and tracking done last week.

check your gear linkage does it slide back into neutral or do you need to push it in
