I made the mistake of buying cheap crap air freshner, ambi pure look alike pound crap, I clipped it to the vents which houses the boot switch etc and the dams b4$tard and thing leaked -doh!

Now, the damn boot switch trips and opens the boot whilst I'm driving along, so I get out close it and the damn thing trips again, the button no longer works, when pressing it it does nothing.

Obviously, its leaked on to the circuit, so there is only one thing for it, replace the whole damn thing, unless anyone can think of anything different to do?

Only problem is though I'm off to London on Thursday so I have to sort it tomorrow ( and here's me thinking of having a nice relaxing Wednesday lol), and if I need to change it I have no idea how to remove it, obviously I have to take out the stereo.

Could someone please tell me how, pictures if possible thanks.

How do i take the switch cluster off?

Is there two screws behind the stereo holding the cluster in? I was trying to figure it out with eper, but still unsure.

dont use WD-40 you want proper electrical contact cleaner

you should be able to flush it from the front just take the Head unit out to prevent any stuff leaking down onto the head unit catch any run off with a paper towel
