General how many miles from a tank are you getting

I've done 350 miles from just over half so far and im about to hit the light, so i've done well for a new driver. Coasting has helped (naughty!) When I first started driving 2 months ago I was averaging 28MPG and now i'm on a confortable 45 woooooop! :)
Coasting is illegal for a reason. No need to on a modern car anyway as the ecu will cut fuel to the engine when rolling in gear with no acceleration input anyway (y)

I keep the car in gear, i've noticed a difference so I thought i'd share my opinion. If thats ok smart ass.

Their is. i averaged 29mpg in a 1.2 grande punto when i first passed my test lol. Then my brothering law brought it off me and was averaging 42mpg in the same car.
Must have been hammering it to get 22 though, I have done 1/2 a tank in a morning on a meet and then still averaged 24mpg, this is in an Abarth with the Sports button on!

22mpg is insane, I have had 18mpg once, but that was straight out the petrol station to a blast up a dual carriage way, so had to floor it. Must be costing that person a fortune in fuel lol, could drive slowly and then afford a BMW in about a yr!

I find that the red light comes on very early in my T-jet so how many miles you get from a tank depends on how brave you are. If i run it right down I can squeeze about 43L in, for this I can get upto 350miles which equates to about 37mpg - exactly the same as the trip computer says. Recently I have moved house and my car use has changed, I'm only getting 29mpg running around Bath now which is about 275miles from a tank but it doesn't matter as I only do 100miles/week now.

Yeah think it might have something to do with not wanting to spend 4 days with the mother in law! so I was driving very sensibly.
Anyway suffice to say it dropped to 38.5 mpg on the way home as I was in a hurry.
Still the best I have had out of it and just goes to show you can get decent mpg and you have the power when you need it.
