425 miles from £50 of diesel. 1.9 MJET Sporting. Trip usually states average of 48mpg. Most I have got out of the tank was 445.

Mostly motorway miles.

Car just serviced with all filters, new oil, cambelt and water pump changed.

I do 500 mile a week so dramatically notice if the MPG goes up or down.

Mine is the same as the poster above. Currently averaging 48 to a tank, recently serviced etc.

I noticed tyre pressure makes a huge difference, around 3-5mpg. I also tend to do ~500miles a week so it gets noticed. Wouldn't say i drive like that slowly, my commute involves several backroads so usually have to overtake a few crawlers and i know the spots where i can put my foot down, i do know the road very well though so its not very stop start.

Its a huge difference from my old focus. Used to struggle to get 30mpg and would cost £60 to fill for less miles returned.

I have read diesels improve during summer too so hopefully i will see an even better return over time.

I've got a 1.4 16v starjet, only had it since monday but can't average more than 36mpg and with the last £20 I put in I've only managed 33mpg?!
If I floor it I can easily lose 30 miles of petrol off the range counter :D

Hi, I am new to this forum and just brought a 2010 Grande punto sporting 1.6 Mjet. First full tank I got 450 miles before the light came on. Filled up to the brim and only got 39 litres in which works out to be almost 52 mpg. The trip computer reads about 56mpg. But hey shes still new and not even run in yet and I dont drive that slow either. So I'm pleased so far lets see what happens when she loosens up some more and the summer is here. Good bye winter diesel.

Got 390 miles out of my last tank, convinced I could have gotten 400 but wimped out. Averaged 45.2mpg.

Put some Diesel in yesterday then did a 70 odd mile trip Chesterfield - Winsford - Chester and the trip indicated an average of 70.3 MPG! Had the car since November and this is by far the highest the trip has read averaging about 53 MPG and 60 at its best. A combo of warmer weather and onto summer diesel perhaps? Either way, chuffed with that.(y)

Went from Swindon to Southampton and back the other day. Averaged 48 mpg!

Best it's done since I first got the thing!! :D

Got 440 miles, could have easily gotten 450, maybe 460 but had to fill up for going to work. Averaged 51.8mpg.

That's awesome considering I haven't before reached the 400 mile mark. Did have to take my own car a couple of times to work though instead of the short lift share journey, so maybe that's it. Well pleased though. I'd like to see how it gets on on a long distance trip down south.

:)

The best I have acheived in my 1.3 ltr diesel is 1030kms (640 miles)to a tank. :) I commute 125kms (77.6 miles) each way to work.

Car has now got 190,000kms (118,000 miles) on the odometer.

Just got 390 miles with about a quarter of a tank left when I went to fill up. 1.4 8v 5dr Eleganza :)

Been doing mostly Motorway and Nation Speed Limit A roads. Normally get a bit less, say 350 miles on 3/4 of a tank.

I've done 350 miles from just over half so far and im about to hit the light, so i've done well for a new driver. Coasting has helped (naughty!) When I first started driving 2 months ago I was averaging 28MPG and now i'm on a confortable 45 woooooop! :)
