Technical Track Rod... Urgent help Please

well yeah, thats why I am looking for a replacement rear axle, I know a breakers that has a couple of grande puntos in but there are three different versions of the axle, apparently. So I need to know which one I need to get (I know the eper part number for it but dont know the differences between the other 2 parts)

But for the time being, the car is driveable and I have saved myself a fortune on the steering rack alone

correct, I have just looked over ebay and other sites and the only difference I can see between the axles available and the one I need are the brackets that hold the brake pipes for the calipers, as opposed to all the ones on ebay that have drums. maybe I could by one with drums and rivet the brack from mine onto the new axle. may be a cheaper option. I will double check with the dealers to find out the exact difference between the axles

willeywilson do you have any tips on getting the tie rod off? Iv got the track rod end off, having trouble getting the back end of the boot off, seems alittle crowded....any help would be majorly appreciated

Wow, it's been a while.
I actually can't remember but we slid the boot off towards the track rod end and revealed the .... whatever type of fixing it was, Looking at the picture on my thread

Looking at it and a quick Google suggests it unscrewed off after you remove the bellows boot. I'd start by taking that off and having a peek inside.

Good luck

GM Part number 93196540 BTW.
