while you were there, did you see the other options for discounts like the facebook discount?
opie oils are banned on the forum as the constantly recommended the wrong oils for Fiats

just got email off them 15% off fuchs and silkolene products, code is WEEK26

PLUS how could you let someone reccomend an oil for your car and take there word for it?

im sure you can check with people on here or read your manual.

correct me if im wrong, but i wouldnt part with my hard earned cash for some oil a stranger on opie oils has told me i need, check before purchase. they may be good at what they do but always best to check, as humans are fallible, so do make mistakes.,

used opie a few times now and i always receive right oil , and being a member get 10-15% off normally, but ususally wait for extra discounts such as free delivery etc.

cheers!

its not a mistake when they are told over and over again to stop telling members to use the wrong grade.

they don't know their stuff they copy and paste sales literature all over the net, if they don't sell the grade or spec people need they will just recommend the wrong one to make a sale

That's fair enough dave, and I accept that's not good practice, but if you want oil at a good price, use the site as I do, armed with the knowledge of what oil I need according to fiats recommendation and you'll have no problem.

Just ordered Brembo discs and pads for my 500 from Opie Oils. Entered the discount code BREMBO at checkout and received 15% discount, worked out at £118.43 inc delivery for discs and pads for all four corners.

It's a 2008 1.4 Sport. I measured the discs with a micrometer when I took the winter wheels off and they are near the minimum thickness so it seemed pointless to just change the pads.

Aargh! Had a phone call from Opie, there are no Brembo P23108 front pads in the UK and there is a lead time of 2 to 4 weeks.
These pads are not unique to the 1.4 500, they fit Puntos, Doblos and a few other cars. I can't understand why the importers let the stock run out.
There are a few places advertising them on EBay and Amazon but when I've rung to check the stock they don't actually have them and confirm there are none in the warehouse.
To look on the bright side though, as these sellers have confirmed that there is no stock at the importers, it at least shows that they are selling genuine Brembo stuff, which is always a concern with EBay.
