wires can difer in colour, but there should be a black and red....red goes the cig liter and black to ground....that should leave the purple which goes to the lights

I found out on a Seat forum lol

Yellow is permanent live
Purple is Switched live
Orange is for Dimmer
But Im gunna put them all together.

just to add a bit to this thread rather than start a new one, i want to do a boost gauge and also an oil pressure gauge side by side, was toying with the idea of fitting them in the cup hoders by the gear stick, saw a similar thing done in a fast car mag, anyone know if thats a possibility before i spas £100 on bits n pieces.... cheers

yes it will be, but you'll have to cut the dash up and move alot so it's likely to cost alot more than £100

yes, i was pricing up the 2 gauges and sender bits etc, in the new demon tweeks catalogue, all the parts cost about a £100. i dont want to go mauling me motor about too much tbh. i see them done in a golf by the gear stick, looked really sweet, but the whole interior had been custom done, a bit outta my £ range.....

Installed the boost gauge after alot of fiddling around.
