Technical Blown Glow Plug Fuse (Check Glow Plugs Msg)

I just had my battery die on me and had road side assistance come to replace the battery.

45 minutes later, new battery and the guy started the car first go, tested everything and said "Cheerio!".

I got in the car to drive away and the check glow plug message displays on the LCD screen, and the glow plug light flashes.

It didn't do this before the battery was replaced. I watched him change it, there was no sparks shorting, etc.

I'll be calling the dealer on Monday to find out if they can look at it. I assume the fuse perhaps blew as the car doesn't start unless I turn the engine over for 5-10 seconds, which is bad as I can tell its flooding the engine with fuel because when it does start, you can see a heap of smoke from the exhaust and plenty of unburnt diesel smell.
