(G) Up close to an EVO

They're hardly a secret. We've had ours in the showroom since before Christmas!

Just got home off nights and low and behold the Punto Evo is now on the Fiat website to configure.......how spooky

iv just configured an evo, and discovered that the biggest engine is the 1.4petrol. they have dropped the 1.6 and 1.9 diesel engines and the 1.3 is the only diesel. that means the new generation evo drivers wont have anything on us smaller engined grande owners when they try and leave us at the lights lol

pps the only engine u can get new on gp is now 1.4 sound. whatever sound means lol. why have they dropped the other engine on both cars?

... for some reason Fiat want to try and keep it secret.

Can't see myself in Punto Evo then as they are only doing a 1.3 Mjet.

Need something with more power.

maybe to sell of the remaining stock Grande's so they're not seen as out of date as soon as the keys are handed over?

Configurator suggests no Dualogic with the 95hp multijet, despite this being available elsewhere? Or is this a mistake?

Diesels also say £35 Road Tax which is pretty tastey.

So theres definately dualogic with the 95hp.



The torque from the diesels is crazy, how much torque does a 1.9 mjet kick out? i know diesels are more torque but damn i never realised lol

280NM standard - a LOT more with a remap.

That's the same torque as my '03 Doblo 1.9 turbo with 100hp, and I get about 45mpg.

So, as many testers suggest, the 95 Diesel is the pick of the bunch with it's astonishing mpg and performance combination: the torque will give it excellent real world overtaking acceleration by the way.

The slightly raised ride height might be answered by the greatly improved, both in quietness and comfort, ride of the car over the 'old' GP.

Must be one of the worst kept secrets tbh as we've all seen the pictures on the net, but for some reason Fiat want to try and keep it secret.

I was in Forward Autos before Christmas looking at a manual left on one of the sales reps desk, as soon as he seen me looking at it it was whipped off me quicker than you can say jack frost and put away in the draw lol
