Styling Spacers, what size are you wearing?

I am about to get some spacers but I would like to see the different results.
I might go for the Novitech 15mm both front and rear.
My rims are original 17" et46.

Any of you guys have some pics to upload? And pls write the width of the spacer.

I'm thinking of getting some of these also, will they fit with the original fiat wheel bolts? my mate has a focus and he needs longer bolts for his spacers to fit

Use your head its not exactly hard to work out is it. Wheel bolts are a certain length, they work fine when wheels are standard, if you put a spacer on the wheel is sitting further away and the bolts have longer to go so what do you think the answer is?

what i was asking was, are the original bolts long enough? i now know the answer thanks to your sarcasm, it's good to see such a friendly forum

And how do you expect to receive an answer to that? They will be fine if you are using a 1mm spacer but if you are using a 5,10,15,20 or 25mm spacer then they will need to be replaced.

Dya just buy bolts that are longer as much as the wheel spacer, so if you get 20mm spacer, you get bolts that are 20mm longer then the old ones?

most 20mm spacers will bolt to the hub then you bolt the wheel to the spacer so dont need extra bolts. 15mm spacers will just have longer bolts and the same with sizes underneath this.

Do you have the same spacing on front and rear. I dont want to go wider in the back than in the front.

How about you Matt -how is your handling now you are wider in the back?

Will catch slightly on outer arch over big dips but easily solved by changing to 205/40 tyres

Do you have to use spacers if the offset changes? or is it just for show?

IF you got a wheel with a higher offset than standard you would probably need to space them out to lower the offset closer to standard.

20mm on rear, which will defo be coming off by 2013 when i eventually manage to get my car lowered! lack of funding for these projects are starting to annoy me now!:bang:
