I have a 57 plate grande punto and for some reason the heater control lights are coming on with the lights, then after a short time they go off.

The actual controls still work, its just the lights.

When the lights are on, I can hear static through the speakers, this goes when the lights go out.

If I turn the lights off and on, then they light up again for a short time but go off again!

Anyone got any ideas??

Sounds like a loose connection if it weren't for the noise in your speakers! My Astra had the same issue (no speaker noise) and it was just a bulb - may be worth investigating the simple stuff first. Although getting behind the dash might not be that simple :shrug:

Mine's had this and local dealer sorted it in a jiffy, under warranty.
