Re: Blue badge Red badge

The storey is that Piero Ferrari (vice chairman of ferrari) and Stefano Domenicali(motorsport director) were talking about the f1 ferrari and piero did`nt like the blue fiat badge on the nose of the ferrari,so he had a word in Luca di Montezemolo(the chaiman) he presented it at the next board meeting and had it changed to red so it would`nt spoil the ferrari.Iin the end they just printed the name fiat in white letters on the nose as the red background colour now blends in with the ferrari red instead of the blue background.
Thats why fiat badges from 2007 are now red(nice colour).

Re: Blue badge Red badge

Not all 2007 + are red badged, there's an 08 plate car that has a blue badge. The owner said he only changed the wheels. He hasn't had any accidents, so the badge wasn't changed by a body shop.

Then again, we've seen how Fiat just puts cars together with whatever they have laying around.

Re: Blue badge Red badge

They changed it back to red as that was historically the colour of the Fiat badge.

fiat oval on blue background been around from 1904,after the original badge with the lettering Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino,so the origanal fiat badge was blue.

Re: Blue badge Red badge

You just have to look at all the other badges to see what my point about them historically being red was.

But the red badges make your car faster and give better mpg, not to mention there's a secret symbol in them that makes dealers give you special discounts on performance parts and special paint jobs.

Yep, the majority of them were red: http://www.arteauto.com/ProductImage...7items/324.jpg

But as the OP asked what the differences between GP's with blue and red badges were - nothing, just the badges as far as im aware.

All that means is that the car was built in 2007 but then sat around in a compound/showroom somewhere and wasn't registered until 1st March 2008 or later.

All except the very last of the now old model Sedici have blue badges, and some of them were registered on 09 plates.
