Hi all!
I currently own a GP Sporting T-Jet. Its done 24k and has been excellent for me, i love it to pieces and has so far been faultless!

However, With a baby on the way my sensible side is coming out and i have just spotted an 07 Bravo 150 Sport, 20k miles. for £8k

How much am i looking at getting for my GP? And will i enjoy the Bravo as much as the GP? I have an Abarth Turbo and Abarth springs waiting to go onto the GP too so the GP can potentially be a proper quick car. I hate decisions!
Ideally i'd be looking at £500-£1000 to change up.

Thanks

just rang the garage and i was the 4th person today to ask about it! It only went on sale today!! Don't think i can arrange to sell my car in time unless they offer me a good part ex. But i can't get to the garage till friday by which time i fully expect it to be gone. I asked on the Bravo forum and they reckon i will get £5300 part ex which is silly really! If its still there on thursday i will get my car cleaned and take it up there friday morning. Shame though as the Bravo would have been perfect as a first family car.

Why dont you just stick with the Grande and put the grand towards the new baby? I dont see how buying a slightly bigger car with more power is in anyway sensible and the Punto will surely be big enough for a baby and all the trimmings?

The Bravo has horrible seats they have very little support if you have long legs/large backside :p well that was a Dynamic not sure about the Sport.

My T-Jet is only 3 door and access to the back seats for a baby seat isn't that great! i'm only skinny so don't have any fat bum issues though :) A baby brings alot of stuff and when we go visiting the grandparents of a weekend its a fairly long drive. Can't really have the baby in the front and the missus in the rear, i can't tend to the baby while driving and to tend from the back seat is a bit arwkward! Plus i was pretty impressed with the Bravos Driver Power 2009 result so i know it will be a cracking car for the long term

I reckon 7k...

That figures is way over the top mate...

To the OP....not sure what year yours is....but an 07 Tjet with your mileage part ex is worth £5750 at current market values.

I took the Bravo Tjet 150 sport out for a test drive and was very impressed, went very well indeed. One thing that put me off was the room in the rear, very poor indeed with the driver's seat in my driving position...No adult could fit behind me comfortably that's for sure. (I'm 6' 2" so hardly a giant)

i also have an Abarth Turbo and springs that have yet to be put on that i could sell for extra funds :)

Why not get a 5dr gp?

I can recommend a 5 door GP if you have a baby. Last year when i was changing from my Mk2 Punto i test drove a Bravo with the baby seat on the back seat. The front passenger seat had to be so far forward that there was no room for knees as the dash curves around, unlike the GP which is straight.

The Bravo may be slightly bigger and have a bigger boot, but it isn't a good use of space. It's surprising how much you can get in the GP, if you get a 5 door one with the split folding rear seat.

Just spotted a 5 Door T-jet for £7k so that may well be an option! :)
Its in Blue though :(
Red is way more Italian

I find the GP to be slightly larger in the back (knee room). And the drivers' seating position is far more comfortable, for me. In some ways the Bravo is a 2+2, at least if the driver and front passenger are over six foot.

But getting baby stuff in the back should be equally easy in both, and the Bravo is wider and more comfortable on a journey.

Why not take the clobber along to the showroom and see how it all works in a real car, and then go for a long test drive?

But: don't forget the revised model arrives in September - new engines - so get a very good deal.
