hey guys today the driver's door didnt work properly :/
I am unable to open from inside, have to open from outside, then the door doesn't close unless I 1st pull the handle from the inside :/

anyone know what could be wrong? I booked it in for Tuesday but I hope it won't cost me alot :/.

sounds like the control rod's have become disconnected, you a DIY'er?

Its a common fault, usually the door lock needs replacing. Same happend to me, fiat replaced it under 3rd year warrenty.

thing is i got this from the uk, and i live in malta, i imported it cause in malta they are very expensive. we are not covered by the three year warranty, only two years european. its a 2006 sporting so warranty is over. and they are quite annoying about going to them if i didnt buy from them (it's how it is in malta). ermm not much of a DIY if it involves taking off the cover :/ i wouldnt know how :/

oh and the car locks. liek when i use the remote and from the inside button. but the key doesnt turn to the right.

If there's no warranty on it you can try an independent garage - if Maltas system is similar to the UK independents are usually cheaper than main dealers.

yep that is what i am doing, on tuesday morning independant garage.

dont, locks are cheap (£40) and easy to fit yourself.
