Hi,

My Sporting's Steering Wheel + volume button has stopped lighting up. All the other buttons light up but not this one and I can't find any information on how it is illuminated or how to rectify the issue.

I have a feeling that this may a costly issue to resolve unless someone can tell me otherwise.

The car is in it's 3rd year dealer warranty period.

I think its probably a fibre optic job that lights it up. TBH it's probably a rather expensive fix - I doubt the 3rd warranty would cover it.
You may be better off just putting up with it.

no fibre optic, switches available seperate although i'm sure on some models(s) its a complete steering wheel.

Thanks for the information but it has suddenly started working again although at a slightly lower brightness than the others.

The only thing I can think of is that when I first noticed it I had just put on the front and rear fog lights as it was rather foggy. The issues remained for the next day, again I had used the fog lights but today it has started working again even when I switched on the fog lights to check

Hopefully it will remain OK.
