Question GP Sporting left side cable hanging out connected to brakes?

Will sort a picture ASAP, took the wheels of my GP 1.9 today and on the drivers side there's the brakehose cable going up. But on passanger side there's a cable hanging completely free?!?!

A little alarming!! Also noticed PSI for back tyre was only 15.. got a slow puncture

Anyone know what the cable is for?

Brake pad wear sensor - not the first one to break:

If the connector the wire has come out of (as I imagine it will be) is a plug and socket type arrangement, then your best bet will be removing the part that the wire detached from and getting a new lead off a motor factors, some brake pads come with lead's in their boxes.
