Right driving back from work tonight everything was going fine and dandy, going along at a nice steady pace then up pops the dash telling me Powered steering failed goes all heavy so i think balls ok i will still drive home. Minute later , speedo stops working, then traction control, then ABS, then hill holder then the battery light starts flashing and the computer is repeatedly telling me all the stuff that has failed. From time to time i would get everything back apart from the powered steering and then it would go again.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and how they got it fixed :)

(hopes T sees this soon and can help me ;) )

Right went to fiat and got the codes read today:

1) Delphi Body computer
2) Bosch Motronic injection
3)Marrelli Clusters
4)Convergence Mode

1)
B1006 - Foglights relay
U1733 - Convergence Telematic Node l1 & L2
U1705 - Receiver Radio
B1009 - Battery voltage

2)
P0621 - Alternator D+ signal
P0580 - Battery Voltage
P0500 - Vehicle Speed Signal (CAN)

3)
U1705 - Radio Receiver
U1733 - Convergence Node

4) Unable to access.

These mean anything to anyone? lol

I'd stick my money on the alternator, or the earthing to it...

Happened to me in a Vauxhall once - exactly the same symptoms. New earth strap sorted it.

I shall give them a call and reccomend it to them :) Could only get the codes read today because the fiat tech wasnt in so couldnt get a proper run down on what went wrong. So they read the codes then deleted all the ones they could. I left everything went again so i turned around and have left it till they can look at it on tuesday. Im rolling in this till its fixed anyway ;) lol

nice wheels on the van, i like driving the company! Something comes over you when you get in itlike you have the right to drive like a **** lol and cut people up! Gota keep the white van man tradition alive :D

just a note, when the stilos suffered from simular problems of the dash board lighting up like a christmas tree... they uprated aload of different earths, i know one was off the throttle bodies, etc and battery. They resituated them to better earthing points aswell. Apparently it made a world of difference, sure its a sticky in there tech section?

that your dads van?

sounds crap is it worth getting the body computer update anyway whether or not you have a fault? got mine about a week after matt i think

Fiat claimed to of fixed it yesterday. Went to pick it up this morning, battery was dead, power steering light was still on, took it for a drive it was like a christmas tree so back to fiat it went. They said all they had to do was check the ground points and it took them since saturday to work that out so im not holding any hope of getting it back soon.
