Grande Punto follows Bravo

The official announcement won't be made until tomorrow, so I'm a still a bit sketchy about the finer details, but from a conversation I had with Fiat today it would seem that from 1st July 2008 until at least 30th September 2008, all new UK Grande Punto will come with the same 5 year manufacturer warranty offered on Bravo.

All of a sudden the price increase doesn't look so bad

Re: Grande Punto follows Bravo

that will nicely mess up the residuals of my punto when i come to sell it in 2 years. why would you buy a 4 year old GP with no warrenty rather then a 3 year old with 2 years of warrenty left. bah humbug

0% & 5 Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty On GP's

Fiat ar offering 0% over 3 years & unlimited mileage warranty on GP's at the moment.

Wonder what you could get off the retail price by haggling too.

Re: 0% & 5 Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty On GP's

I think you'll find that the finance deals are partly to offset the heavy discounting. A lot of folks are still happy to pay list price or haggle a bit of discount. They rarely fight for big discounts like you could get via a broker or fiatsupasaver. I think you'd maybe get 10% off and 0% finance but no more.

Re: 0% & 5 Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty On GP's

I've found a couple of my local dealers will match broker prices (motor provider, autofinders, etc) when asked - but the downside was that the price was locked into you doing an abusive finance deal with them.

Therefore they'd match the basic price, but i would've ended up paying £25 per month more than simply getting a personal loan from my bank.
