Re: PIRELLI P ZERO NERO yay or nay?

Go for 205/40/17 you will be able to get them then. They are £91.40 each off mytyres.co.uk in that size.

Re: PIRELLI P ZERO NERO yay or nay?

Either toyo's or the F1's

The F1's will probably last a bit longer than the toyos and i believe from what people have said is that they are a bit better in the wet but either is a good tyre.

Re: PIRELLI P ZERO NERO yay or nay?

some of the tyres say for example - XL with rim protection ridge and others say RF or RFD. what does this mean, as all the 45 profiles say XL. do i need to make sure they are XL?

Not sure then mate. I would think they will be fine though. Also i presume you are gonna be running 45 profiles on the back along with 40's on the front then?

I think so but not sure how it would make the car drive so i dont want to say it will be fine for definate for you to get them and have them fitted and then find out it will mess up the ride/ handling of the car.

Re: PIRELLI P ZERO NERO yay or nay?

I've replaced the Potenzas with Pirelli P Zero Nero and I am well impressed by the Pirellis.

P Zero Nero warm up considerably faster than the Potenzas and last twice as long (the original set of Potenzas were replaced at 14k although my dealer freaked out when he saw them, said they should have been changed much earlier. The second set of Potenzas gave me just over 9k, at which point I got fed up with Bridgestone and decided to give Pirelli a try. So far I have done 10k and the tyre is 50% worn, expect another 8k before considering replacement)

I recently replaced the rear tyres, Potenzas lasted 30k, I now have P Zero Nero, expect them to give me at least 45k!

If money is an issue, try Falkens, a friend of mine is a keen rally driver and swears by them!

BTW, my car is a Sporting MJet, quite heave up front hence its insatiable appetite for tyres!

Re: PIRELLI P ZERO NERO yay or nay?

ah lol, ive gone for the Toyo Proxes T1-R at a local fitting garage there charging just short of £190 for 2 fully fitted, balanced, new valves and for the two old tyres to be repaired which i thought was pretty decent compared to the £230+ it would have cost for the Potenza's, its also the garage that blackcircles would have used but i went to them direct and they sorted it out a bit cheaper, get them fitted this thurs.
