GP wiper blades

The wiper blades have been **** on my active since the day I bought the car (56 plate, rental company as previous owner) so just naturally assumed they'd worn out as the car was a year old. They streak and generally make driving in the rain a bit of a pain in the ass.

Now, I test drove a 57 plate GPS with 100 miles on the clock a few weeks ago, and the sales man (who initially drove it with me as a passenger) put the washer jets on and wiped the screen.

Wipers completely streaked all over the screen, on a practically brand new car..

Co-incidence? Anyone else have poor wipers on GP?

Re: GP wiper blades

Wiper on my GP are the best I've ever encountered. I replaced the original ones with some official blades from shop4parts.co.uk about 2 months ago as the original ones seemed to wear a bit over winter.
I'd suggest buying new blades and also try giving the windscreen a proper clean with fast glass or something in case its grease or something on the screen itself.

Re: GP wiper blades

Probably just grease on your windscreen. Try rubbing vinegar down the blades and giving the windscreen a really good clean with proper glass cleaner to get all the grime off.

Re: GP wiper blades

Mine arnt the best, streaking etc, but thats simply because I wash the car often and use a wax based car shampoo, which puts a film on the screen which makes the water run off. Its simply going to be something like that, it was the same on my Focus.
