Anyone traded in their punto towards 08 car

I'm thinking about trading my punto in for an 08 series two punto, has anyone here done it or against 58 etc and what was the trade-in / finance stance?

I'm sick of mine, I want a yellow one and the improvments and bigger engine!

Can I carry the finance over?

What car have you got now? Mileage, plate, spec?

Well if you want a good discount on the new car (which Fiat seem to give alot) you could probs get around £4.5-£5k for yours (part-ex).

Or you could sell it privately (£5k+) and then rip the dealers pants off on the new one.

And for the new one, at best maybe £11k for a series 2 TJet. Hardly seems worth it I know.

They'll usually start your finance again (i.e. payoff your existing one and start a new one). They should be able to match your same terms, etc...

Dunno if this helps, but i was paying £160 a month on my 56 plate 1.2 active, and im now paying £270 a month for the 08 sporting!! both over 5 years, they will add on any remaining finance to your new finance!! im paying £16200 back in total coz i only got £4500 for the active!! but as far as im concerned, totally worth it!!

Yes whatever they give you for the trade price they take off the new car then what you owe on the old car carries onto the new one

A 56 plate Sporting with 20k on the clock is a decent car and taking on additional finance to upgrade to a newer model of the same car is just foolish.

Yeah when value of the car is less than the remaining finance. In general you are in negative equity for the first 3 years of a 5 year deal on most Fiats.

Thats rough though obviously it varies.

Pay the one you have off fully first.....
