GP Head Unit

does anyone know if the head unit in the GP has a code before i disconnect the battery?

Yes it does. It is supplied on a card with new vehicles i think. I didnt get mine when i got my car second hand so had to get it from the International Security Register. If you bought your car new you should have no probs getting it.

would this be in the hand book then or is it something you have to request from Fiat?

This is what i did as i never had the card with it on.

I rang my Dealer first and they told me they could get it for me at a cost of £20. I then rang the ISR (paperwork was in the blue folder with handbook etc) and coz i sent Fiat the change of ownership card from the service book when i got the car the details on the ISR had been updated to mine. So i got my code for nothing. Hope this makes sense.

dont think I have ever entered a radio code on a GP?

I was given one with my Punto, but I have already taken my radio out and re-inserted it whithout needing the code. I would get it handy all the same, just in casey...
